AUDITION INFO: Sunday April 26th, Monroe County Public Library Downtown auditorium

Here's roughly how the day will run:

12:45-1, all cast and parent/guardian meeting

1:00-1:30, group dance call

1:30-3:00, individual singing

3:00-5:30 (or earlier if we're fast!), callbacks; small group scenes and singing from the show

All you need to prepare is a 16-32 bar (roughly 30-60 seconds) cut of a musical theatre song; no need to bring sheet music, we'll hear you a cappella. We suggest familiarizing yourself with the cast recording in case we ask you to sing from the show during callbacks, but we will have that music printed for you. Wear clothes and shoes that allow you to move freely during the dance call, and feel free to change after you dance if you like.

Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. That is, until the “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, showed up. Would she be able to pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larken and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans. For after all, a princess is a delicate thing.
